5th Annual “Walk Around The Block”
“Walk Around The Block” was started 5 years ago when our friend and former owner of Creative Hair Designs, Tim Pfaffendorf was diagnosed with ALS. We’ve been working hard to raise money in order to help find a cure for this 100% fatal neuromuscular disease, which is also know as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
Although Tim has lost his battle with ALS, we need to help the over 30,000 Americans who are currently living with Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Help us in our mission to raise public awareness about ALS, support research in finding a CURE and support ALS patients and their families.
“Northeast Wisconsin is a national hotspot for the diagnosis of ALS or Lou Gehrig’s Disease with the number of cases in Green Bay and the Fox Valley being four times higher than the national average.”
Your participation will help the Muscular Dystrophy Association locally assist those affected with ALS in the following ways:

- Funding the Muscular Dystrophy Clinic located at St. Vincent Hospital where people    can get free check-ups with a neurologist.
- Assist in purchasing wheelchairs for mobility.
- Purchase communication devices to help those who have lost the ability to speak due    to ALS.
- Fund support groups to help cope with the diagnosis and loss of a loved one.
- Provide funding for genetic testing.

Your participation will help MDA and Ride For Life nationally provide a cure through research.
